A very inspiring blogger…who me?

A few weeks ago I was nominated for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award by Auntie Doris. Auntie Doris died in 1995, but has been blogging since 2013. Very good she is too. Take a look some time at: http://auntdoris.wordpress.com

Now for the rules. I’ve copied and pasted these rules from Auntie Doris…to simplify things.

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you, and link back to their very inspiring site.

2. Mention the rules. But it doesn’t say you can’t break them

3. Nominate who you think should receive this lovely award (and let them know on their sites).

4. Tell the blogging world something they don’t know about you.

So thank you to Auntie Doris.

I’m nominating :

1. My Two Sentences. http://mytwosentences.wordpress.com

Edward Roads lives in Salem, USA and has taken an alternative approach to blogging. His posts consist of two highly descriptive and though provoking sentences. Very clever and extremely addictive. Check out his blog sometime.

2. Fodrambler. http://atrampinthewoods.wordpress.com

Colin lives in The Forest of Dean and provides his followers with fabulous pictures and information about the wildlife he encounters. Just recently he has been keeping us updated on a family of swallows who have had a challenging summer and have a late baby to raise, before they leave for Africa.

Will they ever be ready to leave for their migration? Check out his blog, on the above link.

3.  Nanny Cool. http://karenswritingblog.wordpress.com

Karen is a grandma to six grandchildren and her blog details the various things they all get up to. She is writing a book and likes to write short stories and poems. We are given an insight into Karen’s life and we are treated to some of her lovely photographs. Check out her blog on the above link.

4. Silver Threading. http://cmchesebro.wordpress.com

Colleen’s blog is a firm favourite of mine. She is embracing retirement with vigour. Colleen’s  blog is a pleasant mixture of her poetry, images, insights into her life and her artwork. I always feel uplifted when I’ve visited her blog. Click on the above link, to take a look.

5. Boeta http://ourrumblingocean.wordpress.com

A lovely blog, written by Boeta and his mum and dad, from their home on the east coast of South Africa. It includes information and fabulous images of the wildlife that they are privileged to witness, in the area that they live in. And we get to see how Boeta is growing up in his beautiful world. Well worth a look, so click on the above link and check it out.

Now for something you don’t know about me…

I used to be a brownie and was sixer of the gnomes. I proudly announced to my mum and dad that I was to be unrolled in the gnomes the following week. Whilst on a brownie pack holiday, we raised brown owl’s knickers on the flag post and put frogs in tawny owl and snowy owl’s beds.

I was a very naughty brownie and now I’m a very naughty woman.

So that’s that.

It’s lovely to receive recognition for my blog and I thank Auntie  Doris again for the nomination.

Have a great day and thanks for calling by.

Until the next time.

  1. Colleen, you’re very welcome. You deserve it. Yes it would be good to get together. If you’re ever planning on coming to sunny Scarborough it could be arranged. LOL! x
