One of these days I’ll visit York for leisure purposes and it won’t be just the hospital.
A wander along The Shambles, with York Minster as its backdrop is one of my favourite walks. The Shambles is one of the oldest streets in York. The top sections of the house bow inwards and in places you could likely shake hands with your opposite neighbour. Google Earth it and you’ll see what I mean.
I might even put some pictures of it, on here, sometime.
