One Word Photo Challenge: Persimmon.

This is my first attempt at this challenge. I’ve been sitting on the fence for some time now and new year – new challenges, and all of that! So, here I am.

This challenge is run by Jennifer Nichole Wells and you can read all about it here. – as well as taking a look at the other entries.

One word photo challenge persimmon.I took this some months ago. My camera was resting on our yard wall and the street lights, across to the left, lent it this persimmon tint.

That’s it for now and thanks for stopping by . Have a great Wednesday.

Until the next time.

Many moons ago, I started to write. But, as life twisted and turned the only thing I got to write was letters, in my job. Things changed, I left my job and returned to the writing. I have loads of ideas and very little time to do them in.( Sound familiar?) I write, because I need to. When I am unable to write I walk in the shadow of madness. Some folk would argue that I'm there already. As well as writing, I read, paint, garden, knit and have just started making candles. I am owned by a retired greyhound called Daisy. My previous greyhound(Misty) was the inspiration to get writing again. Daisy is keeping that inspiration alive. Thanks for reading. Dorne x

    1. Hi there and thank you very much. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and comment.
I love to try and photograph the night sky and that particular night the wall colour just added to it.
I’ve just stopped by your blog and I enjoyed your quote from Oprah Winfrey. You’ve got yourself another follower and I look forward to reading your posts. x

  1. Welcome abroad the challenge boat, Dorne. A great first attempt and, yes, you’ll now be hooked and won’t be able to sleep as you will be forever taking photos in the hope that they can be used for a WordPress challenge. But the best thing of all is that by taking up these challenges you start noticing so much more while out and about than if you were simply just walking down the street. Oh, and you get to interact with more bloggers doing the same challenge as well.

Well done on this and I look forward to seeing you around the challenge blogs.

  2. Thanks Hugh. I’m already hooked on photography. I can usually be spotted with my trusty camera, or my phone camera.
I’m looking forward to meeting lots of new bloggers…the only downside is that we have to pick and choose which challenges we participate in. I would willingly do them all. But, like everyone else, I have to sleep sometimes.
I’m looking forward to sitting down with a cuppa and looking at all the other entries.

    1. What I tend to do is rotate the challenges Dorne, so pick one each week and then move on the following week to a new challenge I’ve not participated in for a while. Sometime I don’t have the time to participate in any challenges, but now I’ve put on my blog on a diet I’m hoping that won’t happen again. 🙂

      1. That’s a good idea Hugh. Sometimes it’s all too easy to get overwhelmed with all of the challenges etc. We have to draw the line somewhere, don’t we? Otherwise we will just spend all of our days online and that’s not very healthy! x

      2. So, so true. Hence my diet and taking time away from the computer. It’s working for me and I’m rather quite enjoying it as well. Just had a two hour walk along the seafront with my partner and Toby, in the sunshine and cold. It was so wonderful to be out there rather than stuck in front of the computer screen.
        Enjoy the challenges.

      3. I wish I could my pooch to do a two hour walk! If I forced her to do that, I’d end up having to carry her!
The image of me trying to carry a 30kg greyhound is just too much…I need to go and have hysterics now! x Back later on.
