5 photos – 5 days challenge. 5 senses of a summer field.

photo challenge new 1

Day 3.

This is my third offering for the 5 photos – 5 days challenge.

Field in summer

5 senses of a summer field.

Imagine this:

It’s a warm summer’s afternoon, with a gentle, cool breeze that acts as nature’s air conditioning.

We find ourselves in a field, such as this. With long grasses and wild flowers.

Slip off your socks and shoes and walk barefoot and bare-legged, through the field with me.

Feel the uneven, cold grass beneath the soles of your feet, as you walk. Feel the cool grass as it wraps itself around your legs – the feathery seed heads of the grass and wild flowers as they gently stroke your legs.

Smell the delicious, fresh smell of the grass, the flowers, the trees… life.

Listen to the sound of the  field; as it gently sways in the breeze. Hear the many insects that hover above, in between and down below.

Take a piece of grass and gently chew on it… how lovely does that taste? Fresh, green… refreshing.

Join me, as I lie down in the grass  and watch the insects, birds and clouds above me.

Lets stay here for a little while… hiding in our field.

Here are the rules for this challenge:

‘Post a photo each day for five consecutive days, and tell a story about each photo.  The story can be truth or fiction, poetry or prose.  Each day one must also nominate a fellow blogger to participate in the challenge.’

Today I would like to nominate Hugh Roberts http://hughsviewsandnews.com/ to take on this challenge, if he would like to.

I look forward to seeing his post.

Thanks for dropping by.

    1. Well Hugh, this is a magical field with no stinging nettles, because the writer of this, whatever it was, is actually allergic to them. So, you’re safe,
Get those little cotton socks off and get wadding through the grass and enjoying being child – like.
Don’t fret about the nominations. I’ve got blog tours and writing challenges outstanding. I’ll do my best to catch up: but, it will have to be in my time, or not, if I can’t manage it.
We all have lives outside of blogging, don’t we? x

      1. We do, but it is always an honour to be nominated for a challenge.

I’m washing my little white cotton socks as I type this. A field with no stingy nettles sounds perfect. For some reason they always seem to like my legs!

      2. It is perfect Hugh. Nettles always find me too. No matter how prepared I go in… they get me! I arrive home, died green from dock leaf juice and covered in lumps and bumps. No wait… that’s how I usually am!
Anyhow, they get me BIG TIME. x

      1. I’m glad you enjoyed the field. Did you spot the swallows, swifts, house martins, sparrow hawks and red kites? This field is home to many, lovely creatures.
Now, I need to go… because it is making me sneeze. x
