2019… so far, so good.

I’m not the most organized person and those of us who are of a slap-happy disposition know that there are times when we have to get a grip! I’m planning on doing that this year. In fact, make that… I am doing that right now. Granted, we’re only 15 days into the virginal year, but hey!… I’ve lasted all of 15 days!

So, the guest bedroom that also doubles up as a joint office for hubby and me, is having a much-needed makeover. I get to emulsion the walls… which I love to do. In fact putting paint on any surface, whether it be wall, paper, canvas, furniture or pebble can turn me into a happy little pig in mud.

And I’m a clutter bug, so getting rid of clutter is the order of the day. The shredder is working overtime and the collection for the local re-cyling tip and charity shop is growing bigger by the day.

The leg that doesn’t want to currently play ball is strapped up and is getting plenty of exercise. If you don’t use it, you lose it, yes? Besides, all this activity is helping with the weight loss. I’ve lost 28 pounds so far and I haven’t finished yet.

The only blot on this messy, but getting tidier by the day, landscape is my health. I could talk about my fibromyalgia, but just talking about it somehow makes it feel bigger than it really should be. I acknowledge it, I have to… it is there! But, I won’t let it define me. I am more than that.

On the days that it gets a firmer grip I accept it and resolve to give it a good kick up the backside when I feel better. There are good days and bad days and that is life… for all of us.

I will talk about fibromyalgia some more, in another post. Because, there are lots of us affected by it… whether directly, or indirectly. But for now my paint brush awaits me. I have to seize the moment, because tomorrow I may be in the fibromyalgia twilight zone!

    1. It’s amazing what causes the flare-ups and how they can affect you, isn’t it? That and the long and confusing list of symptoms.
      But, we all have our issues to deal with. Keep smiling. X
